Domain not working? Troubleshooting
The most common reasons a domain doesn't load, and how to fix them.
It's only just been set up
DNS changes take time to spread. Wait an hour or two and try again, ideally in a private browser window or on mobile data.
The records don't match
- Check every record at your registrar matches exactly what the dashboard shows, with no extra spaces or full stops.
- Remove any old records for the same name that point elsewhere (for example an old website or a "parked" page).
- Some registrars add your domain to the end automatically. If yours does, enter just @ or www, not the full domain.
Your site isn't published
A domain can only show a website that's live. Make sure your site is published and its plan is active.
