Questions
Good questions, straight answers
Is it really free to start?
Yes. You can pick a template, let the AI write your content and edit everything without paying or adding a card. You only pay when you're ready to publish your site.
Who is needthatwebsite for?
Anyone who needs a website: an electrician, a bakery, a band, a charity, a freelancer, a running club, a wedding, someone selling prints. If you can describe it, we can build it.
Do I need any technical skills?
No. You type a couple of sentences about what you do and the site is written for you. After that, editing is just clicking on text and typing, with a live preview beside it.
What does the AI actually do?
It writes your headings, intros, service descriptions and other text from your description. It can also make images and logos, and draft blog posts and event write-ups. You can change any of it.
I already have a website. Can I move it over?
Yes. Pick a design, paste your current website's address and we read it for you: your pages, photos, services, projects, team, reviews and FAQs go into the matching parts of your new design, and your photos are copied into your media library. Anything we couldn't find is flagged as you go, so you can add it or remove that section. Your first import is free.
Can I use my own domain name?
Yes. Buy one through us and it's set up automatically, or connect a domain you already own from any registrar. Every site also gets a free yourname.needthatwebsite.com address.
Do you take a cut of my shop sales?
No. Shop payments go directly to your own Stripe account and we take 0% commission. Stripe charges its normal card processing fees, the same as anywhere else.
Can I cancel?
Yes, anytime. Each site is billed monthly on its own. If a subscription ends, the site goes offline, but your work is kept so you can bring it back later.
Can I change how it looks later?
Anytime. Colours, fonts, button styles, images, text and section sizes are all editable, and changes show live as you make them. Republish whenever you like.
