How to describe what you do so the AI writes a brilliant website
Two or three good sentences make the difference between generic copy and a site that sounds like you.
When you start a site on needthatwebsite.com, you describe what you do in your own words and the AI writes your pages from it. Here's how to get the best possible first draft.
Say what, who and where
"I'm a dog groomer" gives the AI almost nothing. "Mobile dog groomer covering North Leeds, all breeds, fully insured, nervous dogs welcome" gives it a headline, an area, a service list and a reason to choose you.
Add what makes you different
No call-out fee? 20 years' experience? Vegan ingredients? Volunteer-run? Put it in. These details are what turn generic copy into persuasive copy.
Mention the tone you want
"Warm and friendly", "calm and professional" and "loud and playful" all lead to noticeably different writing.
Examples
- "Family-run electricians in Hampshire. Rewires, EV chargers and consumer units. Free fixed quotes, NICEIC approved, tidy work."
- "Indie four-piece from Glasgow. New EP out in May, touring the UK all summer. Fun, a bit loud, very DIY."
- "Small charity running free after-school clubs in Bristol. We need volunteers and donations. Hopeful, community-focused."
