The 15-point checklist before you publish your website

Quick checks for words, links, phones, contact forms and Google before your website goes live.

The words

  3. 3Prices, opening hours and services are current.
  4. 4Spelling and phone numbers checked. Read them out loud; it catches more.

Contact

  1. 1Send yourself a test message through the contact form and check it arrives.
  2. 2Tap the phone number on your phone. It should start a call.
  3. 3Your email address works and isn't the template's example address.

On a phone

  1. 1Open every page on your own phone. Most visitors will see it this way.
  2. 2Buttons are easy to tap and nothing runs off the side of the screen.
  1. 1Photos are yours (or you have permission) and show real work.
  2. 2Every link and menu item works.

Google

  2. 2Your business name, phone and address match your Google Business Profile.

Selling online
